FACE SHIELDS
As a nonprofit, we are actively gathering materials and distributing them to our community to use for making face shields.
Thanks to your support, we are currently making 13,000+ face shields to donate to HCPs and other front-line workers at risk.
RVA Project Shield is a task force comprised of many people coming together to immediately supply Health Care Providers with critical protection. RVA Makers 501(c)(3) is one of several organizations supporting this effort, alongside SolarMill, Build, RVA, GOOD WORK Society, VAUnite, Da Vinci Center at VCU, Sander Design and Art Consulting, and others.
Material supply, cutting, and assembly is being coordinated among many local makers, including SolarMill, Big Secret, Chocolates by Kelly, BuildRVA, WORK Studios / 804RVA, Jeff Rocks Garage, Center of the Universe Brewing, and others.

Alongside Build, RVA and Good Work Society, we have a plan to assemble and distribute 13,200 total face shields to those on the front lines in need of protection. We are finishing up the first batch of 3,000 shields and have materials arriving shortly for another 12,000.

We have tested the face-shield making process and are delivering 137 face shields to local HCPs per their requests.
